The Red Mass is an ancient tradition that is generally celebrated near the beginning of the judicial year. It takes its name from the color of the vestments worn by the liturgical presiders to represent tongues of fire symbolizing the Holy Spirit.
The 35th Annual Red Mass will be held October 2 at 3 pm, here at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine, followed by a reception.
